Firsh Wash Update On Colorista

Image
I have just washed my hair for the first time since dying my hair with L'Oreal Colorista in Indigo. Something I have noticed is surprisingly the colour seems a bit darker. The colour has become more dull but hasn't faded much at all!   Here is my hair in two different lights, as you can see it looks much more blue than it did just after I dyed it. In dark light, my hair looks much darker than it did yesterday, the colour isn't as bright but still looks very blue/purple. This is such a surprise for me! Most hair dyes fade after just one wash, especially on my hair! The colour has stayed really well even if it is duller. Let's hope it stays longer and doesn't fade as quick as adore did. So far I am very happy with this hair dye! Zoe x

L'Oreal Colorista Indigo Review

Image
This week I will be reviewing L'Oreal Colorista. This is one of the very few hair dyes I have never used before, so I was slightly worried that it wouldn't agree with my hair as I have weird hair so certain dyes don't take. Colorista has so many colours to chose from and if I had tried it a few weeks ago I definitely wouldn't have chosen Indigo, but since I am obsessed with blue hair at the moment I saw this colour in the shop and fell in love! The instructions say to put the dye on hair that has just been shampooed and dried, which I found weird as most dyes instruct you to put it on dirty hair or wet hair. The dye itself goes on really nicely and the consistency is great as it's not to runny. The only problem I found was that once you put the dye on it doesn't look like it's covering. I ended up using way too much since it looked like it wasn't taking and I could see my old hair colour coming through. I left the dye on for around 45 minutes sinc...

Adore Baby Blue Review

Image
My first review will be on the most recent hair dye I have used and that is the Adore hair dye in Baby Blue. Before dying my hair blue I did my research on what dyes were best and found the Adore hair dye. I had recently seen it in my local hair dye shop and had never heard of it before. From the reviews I found, most people thought the dye was really good and lasted a long time. Here is my opinion on this brand. The bottles are quite small but the dye itself is very runny so you don't need to use much to cover your hair. I bought 2 bottles just to be safe, but only used 3/4 of one. Due to this dye being very runny, it gets everywhere! Luckily I put down towels so there wasn't too much mess. The directions on the bottle say to put the dye on wet hair and that's what I did. A little warning, DO NOT put this dye on dry hair. When my hair started fading I dyed my hair again and put it on dry hair, this made my hair feel so dead and dry, once it was washed out and I had ...

Welcome

Welcome to my blog. Hi, my name is Zoe and I am a hair dye junkie. I constantly dye my hair and get bored very quickly. I admit, I have a problem. In the last year I have dyed my hair Blonde (a few times), Orange, Blue, Black, Pink, Pastel Pink, Black with Blue on the ends and Purple. This is just in the last 12 months! In my lifetime I have dyed my hair pretty much every colour I can think of. I have been dying my hair since the age of 14 and I am now 25, so I have plenty of experience using at home hair dyes. The reason I decided to create this blog is to give my personal opinion of different brands and to explain how well they go onto hair, how long they last etc. I have seen plenty of posts before about different hair dyes but not many seem to talk about how long they last or show how they look when they fade, so that is why I am here! Along with talking about hair dye I may post about personal things and other interests I have. I am a big music fan, I love to write, I am c...
