Update Schwarzkopf and L'Oreal Colorista Review
It has been almost 4 weeks since I dyed my hair and my hair has now faded quite a bit. I have done updates on the Indigo hair dye and how it washes out up to 10 washes after dying it, so if you would like to know more about how that dye fades then check it out here.
Here is my hair the day after I dyed it and then 1 wash later. As you can see it hardly faded which is great. I know there are some dyes that fade a lot after just 1 wash. The Colorista is really good when it comes to fading as it doesn't fade much until around 4/5 washes. Surprisingly (to me) the Schwarzkopf didn't fade at all after the first wash and became more visible.
The picture on the left is my hair a week after I dyed it, so around 3/4 washes later. As you can see it has faded quite a bit, but is still very blue and very dark. I noticed that in natural light the Schwarzkopf lasted much longer than the Colorista. After dying my hair, both colours blended in together and it looked like I had only put 1 colour on my hair, but after a couple of washes you could see the difference. The picture on the right is around 2 weeks after I dyed it. As you can see it is no longer a dark blue and is now more vibrant and bright. This surprises me from these hair dyes as the colour is much more bright after washing it a few times and doesn't go flat like others.
This is my hair now, after 3-4 weeks. It has faded quite a bit and the Schwarzkopf has faded a lot too. It is still quite bright which is great, but the ends are starting to fade into a lighter blue. The colour is still vibrant and is a really nice blue. I expected the Schwarzkopf to fade a lot quicker than the Colorista as I have had bad experiences with it before, but it lasted really well. I think I may give Schwarzkopf another try at some point, maybe try the turquoise.
I knew how the Colorista would fade as I have used it before and loved it. The Schwarzkopf was surprisingly great at lasting, I've had trouble with it before. The colours started off looking the same and after a couple of washes I started o notice the difference, but after a few more washes they blended again to look like it was one colour. I really do not like the thickness of Schwarzkopf and the fact that one tube does not go very far, but how it fades is great. I will probably try another colour at some point, but it will not be on my regular list of dyes to use.
Hope this review helps. As I said I knew I would like Colorista, so tried to keep this review mainly about Schwarzkopf.
