Crazy Colour Orange Hair Dye Review
Sorry I haven't posted in a while! It has been crazy recently. Since I couldn't get my hair blonde I decided I would go colourful once again. I have previously had orange hair and I loved it! I decided to use the same dye I used last time as the colour was so bright and really stood out. It has been just over a year since I last went orange but I couldn't remember how long it lasted or how it made my hair feel. I wish I had remembered.
I decided to use Crazy Colour hair dye in Orange. I used this last year and loved it. I have used a purple dye from this brand and hated it so when I used this last year I was surprised with how much I liked it. The colour was bright and bold, it wasn't patchy and the consistency was great. The only thing I remembered from using this dye was that I loved the colour. This time around I didn't like it as much.
This is how the colour looked in pictures. The first photo is in natural light and it looks very bright. This picture is closer to how it looked in person. The next photo is how it looked in dark light. It isn't as bright and bold as it looked in person. I noticed that my roots were brighter than the rest of my hair, but since the rest of my hair still had a weird greenish tint to it I thought that would be the reason. I decided to leave the dye on for an hour so that the dye would really take to my hair. I noticed that my hair felt pretty good once I dried it. Before I applied the dye the ends of my hair were very fried and dead so when it felt better after I applied to dye I was very happy. After I had just dyed my hair I loved the colour and the dye.
This is my hair after 3 washes. As you can see it is not orange. It has gone a weird strawberry blonde/ginger. My roots are still very orange but the rest of my hair has faded so much. I am not happy with the colour. I am shocked that it only lasted 3 washes since I left it on for a long time. The colour faded quite a bit after the first wash but it was still orange. The second wash made it fade a lot more. I expected this dye to last longer than this. The only way you can tell that I dyed my hair orange is from my roots.
I still have a little orange left so I will be using that and I hope it lasts a little longer this time. I used to wash my hair in hot water and leave conditioner on for half an hour but since I dyed my hair orange I haven't done that. I have washed my hair in colder water and left the conditioner on for at the most, a minute.
Once I put the remaining dye on my hair I will post an update on how it fades and we will be able to see if it lasts longer. I will next be trying a new hair mask while my colour is faded so keep an eye out for that post, coming soon, I promise.
