I'm Back! L'Oreal Colorista Orange Review

Image
Hello again! I am sorry I have been away for a while but with work and uni assignments I have had hardly any time to relax! So I am back. I now have purple hair but I have a lot of products to review before we get to that post. So this review is about another orange hair dye I tried and what I think about it. After the issues I had with Crazy Colour I decided to go orange using a different brand. I loved L'Oreal Colorista in Indigo so had high hopes in trying out a different colour. So this is the colour I had before I put the dye on. I made sure most of the old dye was washed out and used a silver shampoo to get it as light as I could. I applied the dye and left it on for around an hour like I do with most dyes. I noticed it take to my hair really well and it went on great, like the indigo. Once I washed my hair it felt soft and I really liked the colour. So here is my hair in the terrible lighting in my house and natural light. I loved the colour, it was so bright and...

Crazy Colour Orange Hair Dye Review

Image
Sorry I haven't posted in a while! It has been crazy recently. Since I couldn't get my hair blonde I decided I would go colourful once again. I have previously had orange hair and I loved it! I decided to use the same dye I used last time as the colour was so bright and really stood out. It has been just over a year since I last went orange but I couldn't remember how long it lasted or how it made my hair feel. I wish I had remembered. I decided to use Crazy Colour hair dye in Orange. I used this last year and loved it. I have used a purple dye from this brand and hated it so when I used this last year I was surprised with how much I liked it. The colour was bright and bold, it wasn't patchy and the consistency was great. The only thing I remembered from using this dye was that I loved the colour. This time around I didn't like it as much. This is how the colour looked in pictures. The first photo is in natural light and it looks very bright. This picture is ...

Anti-Dandruff Shampoo and Bleaching My Hair

Image
Sorry I haven't posted in a couple of weeks. My hair has annoyed me. At the moment I hate how it looks and I have been working hard to get it to a decent colour. Since I haven't posted in a couple of weeks I will be posting twice this week. Today's post will be about how I faded my hair more with Head and Shoulders Shampoo and how what happened to my hair after I bleached it. So the picture on the left is how my hair was in my last post. The next picture is after using it a couple more times. Please excuse the dirty hair, it had been a long day. As you can see it faded even more and worked really well. Although the anti-dandruff shampoo worked well, I still had to bleach my hair so that I could go blonde. The picture on the left is how much my hair had faded before I bleached my hair. It was really faded and so I thought the bleach would work well. The next picture is after I bleached my hair. As you can see I was not happy. It doesn't come across well in the p...

Fading Hair - Anti-Dandruff Shampoo

Image
The first thing I tried to fade my hair was anti-dandruff shampoo. I have heard that this works wonders and really fades fashion hair dyes. I only had the cheap one on hand, so did not use Head & Shoulders. I don't want to rush into going blonde, I want to take it slow. Previously I have just bleached my hair and then bleached it again and as you may know that destroys your hair. This is my hair before I used the anti-dandruff shampoo. It was still very bright and very blue. I only have a few weeks to try and fade my hair to a decent colour that will make it easy for me to go blonde. I used a small amount of the shampoo and massaged it into my head. I made sure to scrub it in so I could to try and really get it into my hair. I only left it on for about 20 minutes because my hair started to feel really dry. If I try this again then I might leave it on for a little bit longer. As you may be able to make out, the dye started to run from my hair really quickly. Luckily w...

Trying Something New

So all my posts until now have been about hair dye, bleach and the things I use to keep my hair healthy. I am now planning on going blonde and keeping the blonde for a while, probably over Christmas and into the new year. This means that I won't be dying my hair crazy colours and won't have any reviews to put up. I still want to update my blog and keep posting, so I have an idea. I am going to try and remove the blue while keeping the hair damage to a minimum. So I will be trying things like Vitamin C and Shampoo, Baking Soda, Blonde Shampoos, Toner and other methods to remove as much blue as I can. So I thought that for the next few posts I could review how well this goes and which methods I think work more. I will also be posting about the dye I use to go blonde, if I use bleach or Colour B4 then I will review those as well.  If you think that is a good idea then let me know! If you would like me to upload different posts, maybe about University, Life, Make-up, Music or...

Update Schwarzkopf and L'Oreal Colorista Review

Image
It has been almost 4 weeks since I dyed my hair and my hair has now faded quite a bit. I have done updates on the Indigo hair dye and how it washes out up to 10 washes after dying it, so if you would like to know more about how that dye fades then check it out here . Here is my hair the day after I dyed it and then 1 wash later. As you can see it hardly faded which is great. I know there are some dyes that fade a lot after just 1 wash. The Colorista is really good when it comes to fading as it doesn't fade much until around 4/5 washes. Surprisingly (to me) the Schwarzkopf didn't fade at all after the first wash and became more visible. The picture on the left is my hair a week after I dyed it, so around 3/4 washes later. As you can see it has faded quite a bit, but is still very blue and very dark. I noticed that in natural light the Schwarzkopf lasted much longer than the Colorista. After dying my hair, both colours blended in together and it looked like I had only p...

Jerome Russell B Blonde Bleach Review

Image
Since I dye my hair constantly and I am always changing the colour, I obviously bleach my hair. I have used a lot of different bleaches before but the Jerome Russell B Blonde Bleach is the one I have used every time I've bleached my hair over the last year. Like most bleaches, it does leave your hair dry and has caused my hair to break, so far I have not found that miracle bleach that doesn't damage your hair. The reason I like this bleach is because it really does lift the colour. Recently I have only been using it to bleach my roots as I am happy with blue hair, at the moment. The last time I bleached all of my hair was just before I went blue. The colour I had before was pastel pink, so I didn't have to get rid of a stubborn dark colour. I have used this dye on black hair and it did lift really well. Since I had pastel pink hair before I bleached it, I was left with mostly blonde hair with some parts of my hair remaining a sort of coral colour. This was not a prob...
