Update Schwarzkopf and L'Oreal Colorista Review

Image
It has been almost 4 weeks since I dyed my hair and my hair has now faded quite a bit. I have done updates on the Indigo hair dye and how it washes out up to 10 washes after dying it, so if you would like to know more about how that dye fades then check it out here . Here is my hair the day after I dyed it and then 1 wash later. As you can see it hardly faded which is great. I know there are some dyes that fade a lot after just 1 wash. The Colorista is really good when it comes to fading as it doesn't fade much until around 4/5 washes. Surprisingly (to me) the Schwarzkopf didn't fade at all after the first wash and became more visible. The picture on the left is my hair a week after I dyed it, so around 3/4 washes later. As you can see it has faded quite a bit, but is still very blue and very dark. I noticed that in natural light the Schwarzkopf lasted much longer than the Colorista. After dying my hair, both colours blended in together and it looked like I had only p...

Jerome Russell B Blonde Bleach Review

Image
Since I dye my hair constantly and I am always changing the colour, I obviously bleach my hair. I have used a lot of different bleaches before but the Jerome Russell B Blonde Bleach is the one I have used every time I've bleached my hair over the last year. Like most bleaches, it does leave your hair dry and has caused my hair to break, so far I have not found that miracle bleach that doesn't damage your hair. The reason I like this bleach is because it really does lift the colour. Recently I have only been using it to bleach my roots as I am happy with blue hair, at the moment. The last time I bleached all of my hair was just before I went blue. The colour I had before was pastel pink, so I didn't have to get rid of a stubborn dark colour. I have used this dye on black hair and it did lift really well. Since I had pastel pink hair before I bleached it, I was left with mostly blonde hair with some parts of my hair remaining a sort of coral colour. This was not a prob...

How I Keep My Hair Healthy

Image
So far all my blogs have been about hair dye, whether I like it or not, how it washed out and if I would use it again. I thought, since I'm posting about dying my hair, I should mention what I use to keep my hair from completley falling out. A lot of hair dye leaved your hair dead, dry and breakable. My hair breaks off all the time and I am constantly covered in little bits of blue hair. But I have found products to help with that and things that help my hair feel soft and not so dead. So here I will be mentioning some of those products and what I think of them. Firstly, Argan oil. This product is a miracle worker at times, if you get the right amount and a decent version. I have used Argan oil from poundland and sometimes it works wonders, other times it does nothing. Right now I am using the one pictures about as it has a little pump with it. I found that when I use the one without the pump I use too much and my hair becomes really greasy. The one with the pump is easier ...

Schwarzkopf & Colorista Review

Image
So I've dyed my hair again. This time I thought I would try something different. I bought Schwarzkopf in Electric Blue as well as my new favorite Indigo by L'Oreal Colorista. I started putting the Schwarzkopf on the roots and half way down my hair and then the Colorista on the rest. However, this did not work out the way I hoped. I've used Schwarzkopf many times before, I dyed the tips of my hair with this blue a couple of times and it turned out okay (If I'm remembering correctly, it was a while ago.) This time it did not work. The dye is so thick that I found it really difficult to apply it on even the smallest sections of hair. I wanted to put it on to just above my ear, and then the indigo on the rest, but only had enough for my roots and just below. I mixed in a little conditioner to make it easier to apply but that did not help at all. There was so little dye in the box so, as well as the thickness, it was very hard to apply and I ran out. I don...

L'Oreal Colorista Indigo, 10 Wash Update

Image
So, It has now been 10 washes! On the packaging L'Oreal Colorista claims that it will completely wash out after 10 washes, so that's why I waited till now to give an update.   This is the colour now, it has faded quite a bit! The colour is still very vibrant and blue, it hasn't become dull like most dyes. The dye washes out nicely, it fades to a lighter blue which is great. I've not noticed too much fading over the last weeks, it stayed dark blue/purple for quite a while.   The first picture is the colour my hair was before I used the hair dye and the second picture is how it looks now. As you can see it is so close to being the colour it was, maybe with another wash the it will be exactly the same as before. I just want to add, I wash my hair in hot water as I like my hot bath's and am too lazy to wash my hair in cold water afterwards. As some of you may know, washing your hair in cold water keeps the colour lasting longer, so I would guess that if...
